P&C Update
Hello All,
My name is Edward Monaei and I am a Kuralag man from Thursday Island in the
Torres Straits. I'm currently the Coordinator of the Lifestyles program at
Kurbingui Youth Development Association and a member of the Bud-Ja Djan
Men's Council. I'm proud and honoured to be voted in as your P & C President
and would like to take this opportunity to express my views and vision of
where I see the school and the P & C in the near future. The school's multi-
cultural student base forms a unique basis for multi cultural activities in
the near future, and further building awareness and encouraging partnerships
with the indigenous and non-indigenous community of Zillmere. I will be
attending parade on Friday's if by chance any parents would like to catch up
with me, alternatively, till the end of 2008 and into early 2009 I see the P & C strengthening and building relations with parents within the school to
become more actively involved in and being part of a P & C that will value
their views and opinions in a harmonious forum. I can be contacted on
0421210845 if you would like to arrange another time outside of school
hours. Once again I would like to thank you all for giving me this fantastic
and exciting opportunity, and will inspire to lead our P & C toward a
successful 2009 year.
