Taiwhanake Performers

Taiwhanake Youth Academy Performance

In preparation for the Zillmere Festival on Saturday 15th September, the Taiwhanake Youth Academy performed for our students and staff on the 10th August.  Taiwhanake is an organisation that uses kapahaka (traditional Maori Performing Arts) to teach children of all cultures the values of respect, cooperation, and compassion.

Korks, teh cultural dance instructor, will be visiting Zillmere State School during the first break each Friday to teach our students a dance routine to perform at the festival.
