"From little things big things grow" - the lyrics of the Kev Carmody/Paul Kelly composition best describe how the Zillmere State School song project came to be. It began with a simple question posed by the Lifeline Community Development Team - "Do you have a school song to showcase the talents and to engage the spirit of the school community?" "Not yet" was the reply and so the idea was born. (Extract from CD cover)
From this idea the project evolved into a Compact Disc and DVD featuring the students of Zillmere State School. The school subsequently won the prestigous "Showcase Awards" from Education Queensland in 2002, and the Queensland Recording Associations' "Sunnie Award" in 2003, for "Best Music/Video Clip".
