Founded in 2002 the Zillmere Multicultural Festival has become a cultural celebration of excellent proportions. We have grown from a mere 200 visitors to 10,000 attending the previous years, from the local community, surrounding suburbs, interstate and overseas.
The new Zillmere Festival, One place many Cultures promotes the character, customs and rich cultural backgrounds of the Zillmere Community with a vibrant array of delicious foods, traditional and contemporary performances, as well as interactive songs and dances. The focus is placed upon interaction and experience in a free entry, family-friendly, one day only festival.
Attendees can expect beautifully themed village style food and craft stalls with many cultural groups exhibiting displays, workshops, crafts, demonstrations, song, dance and their traditional food. There are plenty of free activities and workshops for both children and adults alike, with local community groups and government agencies also providing information, displays and their own activities.
BEMAC and Jabiru celebrate the twelfth consecutive year of the Zillmere Multicultural Festival bringing together an eclectic range of entertainment for the community to participate in and experience.
